Orange you glad you went outside?

Orange you glad you went outside?

After two days of absorbing information about color, design, luxury and how it’s being redefined (think Authenticity, Integrity, Refinement, Purity, Uniqueness) at the DDB Fall Market, I went to the Bronx Botanical Garden for some R&R. Low and behold, everywhere I went I saw things that reminded me of the lessons I had just learned from some of the brightest design leaders in the world.

All of the qualities of luxury that had just been discussed were right before my eyes in the shapes, hues, and textures of the early autumn foliage and flowers. Orange–this season’s fashion-forward color–definitely took center stage, paired boldly with purple and subtly with green.

Whenever you need inspiration, just go outside and open your eyes…even in winter, when the soft grays, browns, and lavenders of bark and bracken with soothe your senses and your soul.
