Upcoming Events for the launch of The Allure of Charleston

Posted by Susan Sully | 24th May 2022 | Uncategorised

The Charleston Library Society launch of my new book, The Allure of Charleston, was a big success, with a sell-out of audience of 150. Buxton Books offered a pop-up shop with many of my titles and faithful friends helped to cater a Southern style reception. Many people asked for the punch recipe, as well as my Not Yo’ Mama’s Pimento Cheese and Devilish Deviled Ham (recipes to follow!).

For those who missed the lecture, I’ll be offering a virtual lecture for Drayton Hall this Thursday at 5:30 PM. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/virtual-book-club-the-allure-of-charleston-with-author-susan-sully-tickets-168263979091.

Also, if you want a signed book, I’ll be present for a pop-up shop of my books at the Nathaniel Russell House this Wednesday from 1:30 to 4:30 and at the Aiken Rhett House on Friday from 1:00-4:00. This is a great opportunity to reacquaint yourself with these wonderful house museums and to chat with me about the allure of Charleston.
